Tasneem Pitalwala

Administrative Assistant

Tasneem Pitalwala joined Consumer Action as a part-time member of the support staff in January 2007. In April of that year, she was promoted to the full time position of Administrative Assistant. Pitalwala currently holds an Associate degree in Dental Science and will receive her Bachelors of Science degree in Technical Management in 2008.

Pitalwala’s major job responsibilities at Consumer Action include data entry for publication bulk orders, shipping data and roundtable meeting participation. She also provides support for regional and roundtable events and meetings, conducts research and makes recruitment calls to community-based organizations who may wish to attend Consumer Action train-the-trainer events. Pitalwala handles rush orders on publications and opens and files incoming bulk orders each day. She is also a part of the team that follows up on fundraising letters for Consumer Action’s anniversary event.

Pitalwala designs and coordinates the production of Consumer Action’s anniversary event invitations, save-the-date cards, party posters, holiday greeting cards, etc.

The coordinator of Consumer Action’s communication committee, Pitalwala is also an active member of Consumer Action’s emergency planning team.
