建立正確金錢價值觀 父母扮要角 理財乃人生大計。根據一份2005年進行的問卷調查顯示,父母對於子女的將來最關心的,第一是人身安全,第二就是子女理財的技能。華人父母對於金錢教育向來謹慎,順應時代的變化,讓孩子有正確的金錢價值觀和態度,父母的教育和協助扮演著重要的角色。 消費者行動(Consumer Action)華裔社區推廣經理張毓潔表示,華人父母在照顧子女上總是無微不至,但是當孩子主動開口想要某樣物品的同時,就是父母應開始進行金錢教育的時候。當孩子還無法對「錢」產生概念時,可以以他們熟悉的事物轉換,例如:一套新的電動遊戲等於10份快樂兒童餐,藉由孩子的選擇讓他們開始對物品建立價值觀。至於青少年則對「需要」和「想要」常常分不清楚。父母可以藉由要求孩子練習記下一周內的花費,來協助青少年檢視自己的花費習慣。「收入和支出是否能夠平衡?」、「哪些開支是必須的?」、「哪些是不必要、甚至是後悔的支出?」、「哪些物品是沒有購買也無礙生活的花費?」,和孩子討論這些問題,可以讓他們對於「花錢」有進一步的思考。 -
